The 60-Minute Getaway: My Favorite Day Trips Starting from RC

One of the best things about living in Rancho Cucamonga? We are the literal "Hub of the West." We are perfectly positioned to go from the mountains to the beach in a single afternoon if we really wanted to (and had enough coffee!).

When we need a break from the baseball fields, here are my favorite "Under 60 Minutes" escapes:

1. Oak Glen: Even in the spring, the mountain air is crisp and the hiking trails are much cooler than the valley.

2. Palm Springs: Just a quick shot down the 10! We love taking the Aerial Tramway up for a "reset" with some of the best views in the world.

3. The PCH Loop: We can hit the sand in Newport or Laguna in under an hour on a good traffic day.
